The Governor welcomed home troops at the Army Aviation Support Facility at Quonset Air National Guard Base on March 6. About one-hundred members of the 43rd Police Brigade had been deployed in Afghanistan for the past year. The returning troops were greeted by many family members and friends all eager to see loved ones after the long tour of active duty.
“There’s a lot of happiness here,” said Governor Chafee at the event.
